You are highly encouraged to participate in the CARFEST events offered on Saturday and Sunday! It is a fantastic event, with many activities, such as:
CARFEST Car Show on Saturday - all makes and models welcome. Winners chosen based on popular vote, prizes for top 10 with the most votes.
(This is different than the SHO Car Show on Friday.)
Battle against your friends on the .82-mile Wilson Circuit! Karting is a very exciting and accessible form of racing - experience speed, thrills, and close racing action! Plus, all of your required equipment is provided.
Open sessions throughout both days, plus a Karting Enduro race available Saturday night - put together a team of 4 and compete!
(See the go kart track layout on the right side of the PittRace facility map.)
Includes two pulls on the dyno and HP/Torque graph printout. Prizes awarded each day for highest AND lowest HP of the day!
This is a 2WD dyno, sorry no AWD cars! 1,000HP limit and no alcohol injected vehicles. No diesel or dually trucks. Limited to ONLY 21 CARS per day.
(FWD or RWD only. Sorry, portable AWD dynos are a true unicorn!)
Simplified format, no working the course, prizes awarded in various categories. Competitive sessions on Saturday, fun runs on Sunday.
(An excellent autocross course! See the large pad (with the rubber marks) in the PittRace image above.)
Drag racing on the front straight - the excitement of street racing without the fines! Competitive classes and fun runs available. This activity runs Saturday night only.
HPDE (track day)
(AutoInterests has a High Performance Driving Event available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are calling Sunday our SHO Track Day.)
NOTE: You MUST sign up on the AutoInterests website for this!
Use these links to register for HPDE:
Additional notice for HPDE (track day): If you didn’t run with AutoInterests in 2019, you must create a user account at autointerests.com and be assigned to a Run Group prior to registering. Instructions are here. All new users are defaulted to “First Timer”, so if you aren't a first timer you must send an email with your track experience to firstname.lastname@example.org. Mention your previous SHO Club and other experience. As a note, AutoInterests gets a lot of top cars with experienced drivers. Most of us who regularly ran Advanced at SHO Club events will be more comfortable in Intermediate; and Novice still has good drivers and cars. Basically, if you don’t have 400-800 HP, on track rubber, you won’t be comfortable in Advanced (ask me about that!).
